Sussex Landscape

A steeply sloped side yard with a beautiful mountain view is what we were presented with on this project. We designed a large concrete retaining wall to flatten the yard, and then used the pool and seating spaces to direct the views to the mountain. The tanning ledge in the pool is the perfect spot to catch the views. A subtly elevated water feature is visible from the interior living spaces, drawing the user outdoors. The apple trees at the bottom of the side yard reflect off the pool water, providing another enchanting view from indoors or the existing patio.
