Well-planned swimming pools and landscapes should be appreciated every day, even when the weather isn’t nice enough to be outside. By considering viewing angles from inside the house, we create focal points in the landscape that draw the eye outdoors and into nature.
Nature – water especially – has been shown to provide a calming influence. The living spaces in this house are surrounded by nature, water, and interesting focal points. The pool lines up with the desk in the owner’s home office; the potted exotic plants dominate the view from the living room; the small water features are seen directly outside the dining room; and a fire pit patio is shaded by a large existing tree that’s up-lit and can be seen throughout much of the main floor.
