A house with chalet vibes; a thin, sloped backyard space; a mature forest beyond. We decided to use a large concrete wall, clad in Ipe wood to divide the living space from the forest. The Ipe wood connects the forest to the pool water, and to the pool house which offers covered seating and a bar directly beside the pool. Swimmers are in direct contact with pool-house-users and vice versa.
